Solar Photovoltaic Systems
How it Works
- Sunlight falls on the photovoltaic panels which generates an electric charge.
- The energy generated is fed into an inverter, which converts it to the same type of electricity you use in your home.
- The electricity goes to your sockets if you are using power, or out to the National Grid if you’re not. It’s as simple as that.
Power from the Sun
For centuries we have harnessed the power of the sun but it is only recently that we have been able to trap and store that power effectively. Photovoltaic (PV) panels use the energy from the sun to generate electricity with no waste and no emissions – totally clean energy – this can then be used to run appliances and lighting.
Solar Installations
All our Systems are individually designed to take account of your requirements for both aesthetics and energy production. We don’t do “one size fits all” kits, as we know every property and it’s owner are different. The main thing to remember is “you get what you pay for”, paying the lowest price may seem a good choice now but you may regret the decision in two or three years time.
The installation of your Photovoltaic system will usually take a day although this depends on the size and complexity of the system and by the time we leave, your system will be saving and earning you money !
Statutory disclaimer: The performance of solar PV systems is impossible to predict with certainty due to the variability in the amount of solar radiation (sunlight) from location to location and from year to year. This estimate is based upon the Government’s standard assessment procedure for energy rating of buildings (SAP) and is given as guidance only. It should not be considered as a guarantee of performance.
